Bring your own bedding or sleeping bags and pillows if you want to use the 2 narrow twin beds in the game loft.
The Narrow Twin (cot size) mattresses are 30" wide. These beds are best suited for young guests or smaller adults

What to Bring

Welcome to Highview Cabins! Please make yourself comfortable and enjoy our vacation home as much as we do. The details below will help you make the most of your stay. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Arrival & Check-In Information

Check-Out Instructions
1. TOWELS - Place all used towels in the bathtub or shower
2. BEDS

Leave beds unmade so that our cleaners can easily see that the bed was used.
-
DO NOT take sheets off - please leave for the cleaners.
3. WASH DISHES
-
SCRAPE all stuck-on food into the trash before placing items in dishwasher.
-
START dishwasher. Dishwasher will not remove dried or stuck-on food.
4. SIGN OUT - Sign out of any streaming accounts you used... Netflix, Amazon, etc.
5. CORDS & CABLES - Check receptacles for your power cords and charging cables.
6. THERMOSTAT - Set thermostat to 80 degrees in summer and 65 in the winter.
7. BLINDS & LIGHTS - Close all window blinds and turn off all interior lights.
8. TRASH

Bag all trash and place INSIDE the bear-proof metal trash bin and lock the lid.

NEVER leave any trash outside of the bin.

9. TEXT CLEANERS

Send a text to our cleaning crew telling them you've completed the checklist and the cabin name.

•Thermostat is located on the living room wall.
•Settings between ________
•Turning the desired temperature up or down drastically will not make the HVAC system heat or cool any faster. The air conditioning will likely freeze up if you set the temperature below ___ degrees. If the coils freeze, it will take hours to wait for them to thaw and the system to re-start.

•Available September 15 through April 30
•Use the timer dial on the wall next to the fireplace to turn logs on for up to 60 minutes at a time, or to turn off.
•Gas logs will shut off automatically when time
expires.
•DO NOT put any objects or food in the fireplace.
•DO NOT roast marshmallows in the fireplace.
(You can roast marshmallows over the gas grill
on the back deck.)

•Our cabins have natural gas grills. If gas is not getting to the grill burners, check the on/off valve near where the gas line goes through the deck.
•If the igniter button isn't working, a stick lighter can be found in the cabinet above the refrigerator.
•Do not use wood, paper, charcoal, or anything else besides the gas burners.
•Scrape the grill grate after use and wipe up any food spills.

•Highview Retreat has a PlayStation4 game system with 2 wireless controllers in the loft.
•Controllers plug in for recharging. Please do not pull on controllers while they are plugged in.

•Hot Tub Temperature on arrival - There is a possibility on the day of check-in that the hot tub may not be completely warm and ready for use until that evening due to the cleaning and refilling process between guests.
•Hot tub instructions and warnings are posted on the wall next to the hot tub and are also listed in your rental agreement.
•Hot Tub Clean/Refill Charge - If you wish to have the hot tub cleaned & refilled during your stay, the charge is $25.00. This charge also applies if the hot tub is misused and requires a cleaning during your stay.
•The hot tub control panel will be similar to this illustration. (The Aux button is not in use.)

SHERWOOD FOREST RESORT POOL
•Season - Memorial Day weekend through early September
•Pool Hours - 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
•No Lifeguard on Duty
•Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
•Pool is approx 4/10 mile from each cabin.

•Wilderness at the Smokies Day Passes
•Soaky Mountain Waterpark (opening 2020)

•Each cabin has a Keurig AND a standard coffee maker.
•Bring your own favorite K-cups or ground coffee.
•We provide coffee filters, powdered creamer, and sugar.

•All trash must be bagged and placed inside the bear-proof trash bin. Nothing may be left on top of or next to the bin.
•Always keep the bin locked to keep other
cabins (and bears) from using our bin.
•Recycling in Sevier County takes place at the solid waste plant, so we don't separate trash at the cabins. Read about Sevier County's innovative solid waste & recycling program here.
